Hello

Have you tried an open source hardware , in order to extent your computer or make it do specific jobs?

Which one have you tried? Arduino, Linuxcnc-related cnc, raspberry pi, beagle bone?

Have fun!

I used Raspberry PI to run a robot and do some computer vision project
and Arduino is cheap enogh that I ending up use it in a Coil gun to controll the firing bullet
and in my opinion both of them are great

But the latest one is more amzing
check this if you are intrested in these stuff

I programmed once (long ago) the software
for the control of the machine for the embroidery.

Open Source, because the customer
wanted to program the pictures.

LPT interface, GW Basic,
and Assembly language.
