Perch CMS

Hi guys,
Just wanted to get some users opinions on perch CMS. I've recently only started using CMS as a local sports club wanted a website designed and wordpress although a brilliant cms just wasn't suitable and seemed too complicated for them to update (I find it quite easy). So that got me looking at other cms with an easy admin interface backend and I stumbled across a little beauty called Perch CMS.

This was perfect and instead of building your website around your cms which can be very time consuming, perch code went into all my current designs and produced amazing results.

Anyone else using perch for their projects and how would you compare it to wordpress

I never heard of Perch before and am definitely going to try it out. Maybe even today. Will report back after. In the meanwhile, what is the security like for Perch. WordPress, Joomla and Drupal have been a nightmare for servers because of backdoor infections. So security would be a very big consideration for me for a change to Perch.

I've just had a quick look at it - you can check it out here - there's a really good video to make an introduction easy:
https://grabaperch.com/products/perch

There is plenty of documentation and videos available, so that already has my interest.

Looks advanced (not for lazy people :p), and serving developers and designers who like to get under the CMS hood - and use bootstrap as well.

I'm going to experiment with Xampplite later in the weekend. Looks interesting to learn both bootstrap and perch at the same time.

The community is a tight knit community and support is always there if needed, I'll be sticking to this cms as my main go to from now on and for someone like me with little knowledge (compared to others) perch actually felt easy to use after watching some of the intro videos. Rachel and drew are there to help anyone they can too and there is a more personal approach to its customers.

Updates happen quite frequently too and an active community means security issues are sorted quickly.

Personally never come across Pear CMS before, I will give a shot at some point.

I like playing around with various CMS'es and exploring the code to see how things work and realise how bloated the major CMS'es are; IE: Joomla, Wordpress and mind expanding eComm platform Magento.

Wow, this looks awesome! Could be a nice medium between static HTML sites, and something like WordPress. Too bad it's a little pricey...

I have always loved CMS's. I have not tried Perch CMS yet but took a quick look and plan on giveing it a try. Looks very interesting I have always loved PHP Nuke (https://www.phpnuke.org/) it has evolved quiet a bit since I last took a look at it.
