php limitations

Hi guys,

I've a question about the php configuration with the free hosting plan.
Some CMS are only able to get installed if the php configuration is not that strict. For example some free hosting provider set max_execution_time to 20 which can be too less for installation process.
Does gigarocket also limit the execution time or some often used php modules?

No. You get the option in cpanel to set it yourself.

thank you for your answer, that sounds great.
Am I even allowed to access php modules like exec, popen,...
I mean php runs server side so there are also configurations where you can damage the server an this could be a problem for free hosting, but some applications simply need exec & co.

Common sense says that those php configurations that would pose a risk to the server won't be allowed. You will have to apply for it.

Note that if you want to apply for free cpanel hosting with Gigarocket you have to make 10 quality posts.
