REViSED Gigarank VPS requirements

The owner and staff have agreed to make it a little easier to get a VPS. Instead of 100 quality posts, members who have made 40 quality posts in addition to the 10 quality posts needed for their shared hosting account can now apply for a VPS. Members then have to make 25 quality posts per month in order to keep their VPS. Please note that the emphasis is on quality posts. Please read the Guidelines for Quality Posts in case you are in doubt what quality posts are.

Our VPSs at Gigarank are Linux based and members will therefore require a working knowledge of Linux commands and ability to manage Websites independently. Since there will be no admin support provided for managing the VPS other than its technical installation and initial setup, the Gigarank owner and staff would like to see some evidence of the ability of the member to manage a hosting account. Hence why a shared hosting account is a prerequisite for a VPS account. We would like to see what you can do with your hosting account.

I just have a question about it. So if someone new like myself want to make a request for vps, I need to make 40 quality posts or 50 ? Since I wouldn't want shared hosting.

A shared hosting account is a prerequisite for a VPS. We want to see how you manage a hosting account first. If you read the VPS TOS you will note you won't get an instant VPS. You do need a total of 50 posts.

Thanks for making the requirements much easier. Initial 50 quality posts and further 25 quality posts per month is easier to achieve.

This is astonishingly generous of you guys, the requirements for VPS hosting are mind bogglingly low, I don't know how you guys keep offering these amazing deals to folk here but very pleased you do. :drinks:
