Safari Browser for Windows?

Any one using Safari Browser for Windows? I've been toying with it and wonder whether there are any security issues I should be watching for. So far I think it is working quite well for me. But would be great to hear experiences of others. Or any other alternatives to FireFox, Chrome and Opera.

I used to use it some time ago for checking what my Website looked like and I found it pretty OK. I was just worried when someone told me that Apple isn't supporting Safari for Windows any longer. Just checked their Website and haven't found any evidence for that. So may download it again one of these days.

Safari on the windows isn't as secure as on Mac, so probably not worth of using it at all, better to use FireFox or Google Chrome, eventually some alternatives.

Does make sense iG that Apple would probably limit its resources on Safari for Windows. I mostly use it to see how it works, and also get a sense of what a Website would look like by people who use Safari browser. I'm also looking for an alternative to Chrome, Opera and Firefox as I'm thoroughly bored with them.

I'd be interested too Amana. Also in an alternative search engine to Google. I've been using FireFox for years and years and have seen it turning BIG and much too bulky over the last couple or more years. iG is right about security issues with Safari Browser. I'd think a few times before I'd make it my primary browser for Windows. I'll think a MILLION times before I use Chrome, even when I know it is an excellent browser, just because I don't trust Google with its mining of information. Google has grown much too big and powerful in the Internet and I'd like at least some meaningful competition to come forward to balance things out a little. Otherwise Google does act a dictator, and it is our fault for allowing it to become so powerful by supporting all of its products collectively.

The most recent Windows version of Safari, I can find is 5.1.7, released in May 2012. The current Mac version is 7.x.x. The Windows version doesn't even list Windows 8 as a compatible operating system. It's probably not the safest browser out there for Windows.

MS did something similar when they left Mac users stranded at IE 5.x. Though I bet not too many people are bothered by that these days.

For compatibility testing I use http://browsershots.org/. Although not perfect, it is very helpful and it's about as an inclusive list of possible browsers as I've seen.
