I don't think I completely get what the problem is. I get what the problem was, but are you able to get Softaculous now?

Can you give an exact description of the problem you are facing with now.

Ah,sorry for this,as English isn't my primary language. When I was trying to use it,a message says:
License Inactive
Your license is not active or it has expired. If your license has expired, please renew it to continue using this Software.

Actually Gigagreg has encountered this problem earlier but now it occurs again.

We're aware of this. I don't know whether the owner is going to renew it, as it is an expense that on top of cpanel, hosting etc. may not be justifiable for now.

Not sure what script you're trying to download. If it is WordPress, if you scroll right down to the bottom of cpanel there should be a WordPress installer link - it's on its own in the most bottom section of cpanel. It's a bit cruder to use than Softaculous. But it does work.

Try it and let us know if it works for you too.

If that doesn't work, then you probably need to go back to the old-fashioned way of installing a script. Steps to do it (if I remember correctly):

1. Download the WordPress Package script:
https://wordpress.org/download/

2. Unzip it on your computer. Then if you're going to use it with your own domain, select all of the files under "wp", cut and paste them - so the wp folder is not included. You only have the content that was in the wp folder. Then zip the cut folders up again.

3. Get into your cpanel, fire up File Manager, navigate to the root of the domain for your Website, and then upload the newly zipped package. Unzip it.

4. After that technically you should be able to install Wordpress without the need to create a database and database user first. Not sure about that though, but if I were you, I'll just type the following first in the browser address box:

http://yourdomain.com/wp-admin/install.php

And it will prompt you for all of the information.

If it does ask you for database info, then you can just go back to cpanel, and create a database and database user, tie them up with one another making sure the user has all privileges. Remember to write down the password and the database and database user names, and then provide them for the installation. However, in my own experience it's been a long time since I've been prompted to do that by the WordPress installation process.

I'd try the installer first at the bottom of your cpanel, and if that doesn't work for you, try and do the installation the old-fashioned manual way.

Thanks fot the detailed instruction.I use s9y blog(If you still remember my request, you can see that I personally don't like wordpress too much).

And there is one obvious reason for my usage of the installer--for s9y updates.
I knew there is a plugin for auto-installing,but it just fails after downloading the package, saying some files in the update pack failed the integrity check.
However,it works fine with Softcalous.

(Actually I'm fine with manual auto installers, but sometimes I'm too busy to use it.Hope we can find some alternatives as P2H is decaying--to be honest,Gigarocket is the only one I know that to be active--I pray Gigarocket will be online forevet, but if not,at least I will remember the generous limits, and the friendly atmosphere)

OK thanks for the detailed feedback @mazl. I'll ask the owner about Softaculous. I can understand how convenient and more precise it would have worked for you.

Thanks @Genesis .

Now I can use softcalous again(free version).Less scripts,but enough.

Hope I can receive updates in the free version of softcalous.

I will mark the topic as solved.
