I am reopening this issue as I was away and topic got solved but the issue persists.

The default installation in Softaculous for Gpix script is not working due to php pear compatibility.
I wouldn't like to lower the php version as I want this integrated with latest joomla which requires last php.

I have the script running fine on a server with the following installation:

cPanel Version 11.34.1 (build 13)
Theme x3
Apache version 2.2.24
PHP version 5.3.23
MySQL version 5.5.30-cll
Architecture x86_64
Operating system linux
Shared IP Address 64.62.211.131
Path to sendmail /usr/sbin/sendmail
Path to Perl /usr/bin/perl
Perl version 5.8.8
Kernel version 2.6.18-348.3.1.el5
cPanel Pro 1.0 (RC1)

Is there a way to make it work with gigadns? Maybe Softaculous has an answer for this otherwise what's the point of offering a non-working script with their package?

DJB could best answer this of course, but I've just spent about 30 minutes Googling GPix+Softaculous. I suggest you do the same. Particularly go to the GPix Website and there is no support for the script. The script download is dated 2009. The specifications are dated 2010. There is a Forum link in the menu but no Forum. There is a link for one on one support, but the link goes to an unrelated page. I couldn't find any online discussions on the script. I'm not an expert on the script, but doesn't look as though it has been updated in a long time.

Here is a link to their Website:

Unless DJB has another solution, I'd say you have two, maybe three options here. You can go to the people who provided you with the overall script and ask them to update it for you, they'll have to do it at some or other time any way as the script is obviously out of date. Or you could use the earlier version of php which of course is going to land you with Joomla issues. And yes, agreed, you should not use an older version of Joomla as that comes with serious security issues. Third option is to get the script updated by a specialist so it can be current and compatible with all the current versions of everything..

Thank you for the prompt answer and the time you took to find one. I knew the pixel script development and support are dead, I was just wondering if there has been any interest in making this work as I is still included and ranked quite well by Softaculous
Apparently not anymore or it is not shared.
Again, your input is much appreciated.

I'll look into it tomorrow.

Thank you, according to the SOF link indicated above, I need to ignore the errors by disabling error_reporting = E_ALL | E_STRICT in the php ini file which I am not sure how to do correctly on the server, I hope you people can help. Your attention is greatly appreciated.
