Hi @Gigagreg and users of WordPress and Softaculous. Looks as though @DJB hasn't had a chance yet to update Softaculous yet.
cPanel comes with its own WordPress Installer that I've now loaded. You can find it in the Applications Section of your cPanel.
For those who are new, don't forget to first add the domain on by using the domain add-on feature in cpanel (in the Domain section of cPanel). When you create an add-on Domain, cPanel automatically creates a domain folder in your folder manager.
The WordPress cPanel App is not as user friendly as Softaculous, but it does work. You have to click on "New Site", which will then bring up a scroll list of the domains you've got on your cpanel. Then select the domain you're going to use for the WordPress installation, and then hopefully it will work out OK after that. I used this at another cPanel where we didn't have Softaculous and it worked OK.
I also found through experience that if Softaculous is down, that it may have an effect on existing WordPress installations. Mine went off line and I had to reinstall them at the time. So suggest to everyone who have WordPress installations to check up on them.
