I tried both. Speedtest.net is still the better one of the two. I'm in the UAE at the moment and am amazed that although the speed of my internet in the UAE where I am right now is that much lower than my internet service in South Africa, i.e. 10mb/s in South Africa, it feels just a little less fast than in South Africa - boggles the mind how this speed thing really works like nothing ever is the way it appears to be:
myself always uses speedtest.net this is because it provides you with the best server you wish to use before you get your connection tested and also gives you a exact reading of your upload and download speed's and also includes the ping of what you are running your internet at or is at during that certain time you are doing the speed test. Also speedtest.net offers a star rating to show whether your internet suits the needs of which the company provides the speeds to be running at in your area from 1 being bad to 5 star's being very good
I'm using Beta.SpeedTest.net for test my internet speed. This website don't use FLASH or JAVA.So, very fast test. And you can download this from Windows Store.
Speedtest is not accurate at all, it gives you the slightest touch on your actual connection speed, making sure its better/worse depending on the server you use to test the connection.
I add a question to this discussion... The speedtest is for just one time, but I'm searching a test that misure the connection during a certain time, for example one hour to check the peaks of the connection. Any idea?
