The Legend of Zelda!

Wow I'm really surprised I didn't see a thread on this already XD

So who here plays Zelda? And what are your favorite games if you do?

I've been playing these games for a very long time, and I've pretty much finished most of them xP. I think my favorite is Majora's Mask, although for nostalgic purposes Windwaker is pretty high up there (but don't get me wrong it'd be pretty high up in my favorites list even it it wasn't the first one I played XD)

So anyway, who's excited for Zelda WiiU?

I'm not playing Zelda at the moment but the most recent Zelda game I played was Skyward Sword. I think it was quite good and entertaining but I would have preferred if they let me play and figure out stuff on my own. I think Fi gave away too much information and the sailcloth was automatically used when falling from the sky. Why have a button to do something that will be done automatically anyway?

Maybe all Zelda games are like this. I guess I never realized how much information was given away when I played Zelda as a kid because I didn't know much English and I really had to save my parents' patience to the important story parts.

My favorite Zelda games are Ocarina of Time and A Link to the Past. I think Majora's Mask is also a very good game but it's not the traditional story so I almost look at it as a different game.

yeah I do hear you about Fi giving things away, that was really kinda annoying. >_< but it's still one of my favorites just because of the characters and the story. ;3;

but yeah, just because of that I'm really excited for the open world style that Zelda WiiU is going to have. To my understanding it's going to imitate a sort of fallout3 map style XD

I used to play Zelda: Ocarina of Time, enjoyed it very much for let's say 3 years or so :)
Sometimes I'd just play it to play some music, sometimes just to try to catch chickens, even if the game was further on the story.

So what does everything think of Hyrule warriors? If anyone's played it yet how do you think Zelda matches with the Dynasty Warriors gameplay?

I grew up with this, so I am VERY excited about it. Just read the news on twitter. Apparently, Wall Street Journal is reporting that Netflix will be working on a TV show dedicated to the most popular video game, with Nitendo. It might take a long time until this actually is done, though. :sorry:

Sorry if I am posting this in the wrong place. Do you used to play/still play these games?

I don't play these games seeing as my consoles just don't support the game anymore. I still do have my N64 with Zelda but it's been awhile since I've played.

I'd honestly love to see what kind of stuff they could make working off of the idea of Zelda. I think they could make a successful series if they play their cards right.

Sounds like it could be fun! I've never played the games, but I've heard a little about them, and fantasy shows are usually pretty fun to watch. Will people only be able to watch it if they have Netflix? Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one where I live who doesn't have it.

I'm sorry here I go again... I didn't realize there was a topic for legend of Zelda already. It seems I'm more attentive when I am mobile. Just a suggestion, but the topic I created about Netflix adapting this to a TV show could be merged here? @"Yozora" @"Genesis"

Thank you but I think the title should be changed to just "legend of zelda"? The first posts were about the game only and not the news. Or just leave it like this.
