The Oscars

I'm more excited for the GRAMMYs than the Oscars. There's more artists I like going to the grammys and nominated for than the Oscars. I can't wait to see the red carpet of both events though. :p

I'd love to say Leonardo DiCaprio but the Academy seems to hate him. He really deserves an Oscar, he's been in too many good works to name all of them - Romeo + Juliet, Wolf of Wall Street, Titanic, Django Unchained.

I thought he did a stellar job in "Blood Diamond". You're right. He's a phenomenal actor in that he isn't only talented, but he prepares the role very well. The accent for "Blood Diamond" (you probably know) he cultivated by pub running southern Africa. He went to considerable lengths to imitate the accent and he did it very well.

I am actually looking forward to the oscars after all. I don't know what is nominated, except for 'The Theory of Everything*', which I hope wins all the awards that's nonimanted for, but I can't wait to see some of the actors that are presenting the awards show this year.

*That's the only movie I've watched from all those that are nominated.

Yeah, I've only seen one nominated movie as well (The Tale of Princess Kaguya), and it's chances of winning are slim, as the Oscar committee seems to prefer happy animated movies over sadder ones. I can always hope though.

I read a review on 'The Tale of Princess Kaguya' because it comes out on blu-ray today - I think - and it seemed really nice. I now want to watch it!!

edit: oh my... I didn't know this was the one Chloe voiced in the english version!!! I really want to watch it now!

@"tangledmemories" Yeah, I really liked it. It's ending is kind of sad though, but the film was really beautiful. It kind of reminded of the movie "Brave", because they are both about princesses who rebel against palace life, but while I did think Brave was good, Kaguya touched me more.
