To Build Or Not To Build?

Am I the only one? I dare say that I am not! At this moment, pc/rig parts are off the charts!

So do you build or no?

I will always build (as much as possible anyway). However, pre-built gaming and media comps are quite affordable. For me though, it's not really what I need. My needs don't rely too much on graphics, overclocking etc.

To Build or Not To Build, what are your thoughts?

Well, I have never built something from scratch. My friend's older brother helped me put together a computer back in the year 2004. Since then I have just replaced parts when needed. The only thing that is still in use from the original setup is the case and the speakers.

I built my setup because I found it was much more cost efficient. Not only that, but I also couldn't find anything with the aesthetic I really wanted. Another thing is the experience. It's so much more fascinating to build your own computer than to buy one. Makes repairs easier too.

Like some other users have mentioned, I think building is more cost effective than buying a prebuilt. But right now some component prices are very high, so I am not sure if that is the best option anymore. I also think that building your own pc give you a lot more control about aesthetics.
