Nowadays, If people had a choice between Mario, Fortnite, and Roblox, I guarantee you that the majority of people would pick Roblox or Fortnite (unless they are diehard Mario fans or something...)

If you go back in time you can find a lot of popular games. The Sims, StarCraft, GoldenEye 007, WarCraft II & III, Counter Strike, Tomb Raider, Super Mario Bros. 1 & 3, and so on. Not sure how to rank them.
