i want to update android phone of me that has jellybean 4.2 os

i do not have option to update phone in about phone menu. i.e i do not have option to update from otp

how i can update my phone without having system updates option in my phone?

open the cwm than open custom rom from cwm, don't forget to backup your phone before updating

Probably a good start would be to tell us what the phone make and model is. I checked Google and some suggest you take your phone to a Word Centre for the model phone and ask them to reinstall the OS - which would automatically be an upgrade. Maybe you could check whether that is possible. But be cautious and research this very carefully first for your phone model as I've also read that some didn't like the new upgrade. Like some of the features they liked in the older OS were no longer available and once the upgrade was made it was no longer possible to go back to the original older OS.

be careful on upgrading your android OS to other higher version, most of android OS is hardware specific, so if your hardware did not match with the new version is will boot looping, sometime it will bricking ypur phone.
