VPS or Shared Hosting for my needs?

i need a vps becouse i want to add PHP pear component.
In addition i need to install with consumer some other PHP extension.

For both i need of a ssh connection with root user.

No shared server lead me to make this.

Do you know if I can use an other better solution for this purpose????

Created a new thread as this post doesn't fit in What is a VPS thread or General Discussion Forum.

Shared hosting at Gigarank will be more than adequate for your needs. You can ask the Admin, or if you check cPanel there are options for selecting php extensions.

You don't need to have SSH access.
