The U.S.A. unfortunately. We've been embroiled in foreign conflicts non-stop since ww2. We could learn a thing or two from Switzerland.

Yes , that is true for the US government, but the population in US is quite peaceful and unaware of the murders that US military makes in other countries.

Now how about this list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_intentional_homicide_rate

It seems there are countries where their inner culture is quite aggressive.

am I right?

Oh no, we're well aware of it - people just believe that the government has good reasons. Propaganda ftw right? They believe the white knight freedom fighter baloney they're fed.

But yes you're right. For the most part people here don't want to be warriors in that sense, even the people that join the military.

North Korea maybe? They are pretty much isolationist though, although the government engages in a lot of feather fluffing and posturing.

Definitely a lot of south american and african countries. No shortage of warlords there. There are other countries though where instead of killing each other they focus on killing other people.

Israel. There's a warrior culture for sure.

It could get ugly when the people start opening their eyes. If it gets bad, I'm either getting on the boat and casting off, or heading to pop's farm. It's pretty far out there and sparsely populated.

More like, peaceful in the low-crime areas... Baltimore is a city with very high crime rates, but most countries have areas like that, right? The seemingly never-ending war the U.S. government is fighting makes me see the connection to warrior cultures though.

Agreed most countries have their areas of unrest and Baltimore is an extreme example where through the decades of violence in Baltimore, the violence has started to feed on itself. But where in the developed Western countries do you find so much violent crime with guns as in the US? And who stands to gain the most from the supply of those guns? The armaments industry? Who own the armaments industry in the US?

I don't trust the wars the US Government (and the West - for some reason everything gets blamed on the US alone and I think that is unfair) are fighting, as I'm a bit cynical and can't help but think that the wars are deliberately created to keep the armaments industries alive. Whoever is running the economy in the US (not the Government but an oligarchy of tycoons) may have a vested interest in warfare - if war stops, they would go out of business. Not only the US though; I heard tonight on the news France will be supplying a multi billion dollar war plane contract to Qatar. France and England together with the US were major suppliers of armaments to all of the countries in the Middle East. Iran and Iraq were at war with one another using armaments supplied by the US and the West. That is probably why they had been so convinced there had to be weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, as they had supplied those weapons to Iraq. I don't have all of the facts, as I think we're being duped by large media campaigns as well and are unable to get the real facts. I've given up on international news a long while ago. I catch the headlines and that is about all.

@"Genesis" Yeah, that's true. Someone must be making a ton of money off this. A while back Japan made a state secrecy law, which limited the press's ability to cover what were deemed "state secrets". Opponents of the law said that "state secrets" were defined so loosely that the government could label almost anything a state secret, and censor the press that way. Then I read that the law was based on a similar one in the U.S. and felt sick. I think I stopped having much trust in news programs after that.
