We Need Unlimited Paid Hosting package on GigaRank

Well, I have been a satisfied client of GigaRank's Free Hosting Package for almost 2 years. And If someday I need to go to buy any hosting I am sure I would like to buy the hosting from them. And I guess this was the main reason behind GigaRank's Free Hosting package. But I've looked through the paid hosting plans of GigaRank. I wish we could have an Unlimited Hosting (Space) plan like Hostgator in a cheap monthly price. So that I will not have to worry about disk spaces anymore. I think GigaRank can manage that easily.

Yes, it must go in a cheap monthly price as when compare the CORPORATE plan in GigaRank with the Baby Plan or the Business Plan at Hostgator , it seems more expensive with less Disk Space
and Bandwidth.
I really guess that GigaRank will be always unique in its services, but the market competition requires some more features.

Thank you

Yeah. I also mentioned that in my earlier post. Although it will be great if this package be available in GigaRank's Paid Hosting Plans.

Hmm, I don't know about that. Many hosting forums I know of actually ban advertising of "unlimited" hosting because in reality, there is no such thing. I've heard lots of stories about unlimited hosts banning people who use up too many server resources, or too much bandwidth at once, which means there absolutely is a limit, they just don't tell you what it is. That kind of thing seems a little dishonest to me...
Could just be what I've heard though.

Well, an unlimited web hosting must have some policy like not allowed to upload video or movie because youtube is there to help. Also not running any social networking sites and many more. I remember I've developed a movie site last month where 1TB movie files uploaded by users within a month. So why I've developed a dedicated server with centOS7 with 64TB of storage using Raid1. Obviously these type of site will not be the part of the Unlimited Hosting Plan. Though maximum website just uploads pictures and product info to the site, and that not took many spaces. Although an Unlimited hosting means I can add my all client's sites in just one hosting to easily manage them all. I use wp for almost every clients I've got, so you can imagine how much space will it took If I host 50sites with just pictures and some text in mysql. I guess it wont take more than 15-20 GB. But there is also a balance for that, not all the unlimited hosting plan holders will add more than 3-5 sites in a package. So an shared hosting with Unlimited plan will work great for that. I could use my own dedicated cpu for my webserver but there is a lot more ISP problem going on my country nowadays. And I think GigaRank should have this kinda hosting plan.

Yozora is right on the number with this. It is a marketing gimmick. At least you get honest space at Gigarank. What you see is what you get.

All you need to do is Google the subject and you get plenty of material on how dishonest it is:

http://power-site.com/is-there-such-a-thing-as-unlimited-hosting/

Note: I've noticed members making more posts about this subject in other threads. Please don't cross post as cross posts will be removed as spam.

I don't know where you heard that.I have been on lots of servers with unlimited and they never complained about bandwidth etc. I was working on a facebook APP that had over 200 players per day using it.Alotof server side functions and mysqli calls. No slows downs

Just Google it and you'll find a contrary opinion. For some advertising "unlimited" is a "no no". And dishonest.

Yes, alot of dishonest web host out there. I was just at one, there php.ini stated that they had Curl and IPv6 enabled. Yet my code told me it wasn't. So when I contacted them, they said it was only for paid hosting. I read there T.O.Sand showed them that is not what their T.O.S said and kept giving me the run around. I like to check out all who offer free hosting before I go to paid hosting. If you can't be honest with the free part, why would I pay them for hosting. They forget that word of mouth is the best advertising around.

This unlimited thing is one of the those grand myths in web hosting. Nobody can provide such a thing. Almost these so called unlimited packages can't run a forum is 100 active members. Either these hosting providers or users find it hard way or smart providers add enough limitations to their small print to make this " unlimited " thing just a decoration.

GigaRank actually ROCKS in my vision... Though all Unlimited packages have some restrictions like not allowing video hosting etc...

Hi,

I think unlimited hosting is real situation. However customer should understand that he uses Hosting!!! And not some storage service. Hosting owner needs only 2 points of policy

1. All materials should be used on sites and should have direct links
2. Sites should not cause overload that affects on other

It's all.

You forgot security and anti-spam. I'd list that as No. 1. :p
