The i5 6500 has a base of 3.2ghz and a turbo of 3.5? Will it work whole time at 3.5 or not? Can someone help me? thanks..

Only when the app or game demands more cpu it can clock up to the 3.5 Ghz bust only in for a few seconds.

Turbo boost is there for when the computer may need more power depending on what it is your trying to run. IE Games and heavy load applications. You can make your computer permanently stay in boost state by changing your power settings from Balanced to High Performance.

This is false. High performance will not make the CPU run at the turbo speed. the maximum speed in this case is 3.2 Ghz with a turbo of 3.5 Ghz. The CPU max speed speed is 3.2 thus it will run at 3.2 not 305. The turbo comes in when the application or game uses the 3.2 Ghz for longer than a few seconds thus clocking up to 3.5Ghz, but only for a short burst.

With the proper apps you may be able to OC the CPU to run at the 3.5Ghz all the time, but is not recommended as it will void the warranty and could damage components if not properly cooled.
