Where can I get a cheap domain?

I admit I haven't read all the previous posts so you may have already been told all this, I'm sure you have but if not here we go. There are a lot of resellers out there selling domains, there are millions of companies selling domains.

Now there are so many TLD's to choose from (Top Level Domains) Each country had their own TLD, .co.uk .com .ru .au and so on.

Now we have around 1500 other options like .cloud .chat .aution .tits .mobi .hosting

Have you seen any of these pop up in Google, Bing, Yahoo, DMoz or any other search or index engine? Do some searches for random stuff - research.

Can you manage a bit more to make it a quality post? Like what are the domain extensions for the two items you've posted? What domains free? Rarely you get something for nothing, have you used the services yourself? What is the catch, do i have to give them granny as part of the sign up? Why not take a moment to introduce yourself to the community, they bite worse than they bark but only because they are rabid, otherwise they're a jolly nice bunch and unlikely to mow down innocent people or explode...

godaddy.com has a dot.com sale at the moment - 0.85c. No doubt the price will be much more if you renew the domains.

Note that WHOIS Privacy is not included. Latter is 10 US$ extra. But one can always transfer the cheap domains to another Registrar like Namecheap, and add on the WHOIS for much cheaper.

1 and 1 Internet are now doing a special offer on domains, I've bought cheap .coms and have paid as little as 99p or even got the domain free depending what else I'm buying. I would never normally plug another company other than my own as it's rude to GigaRocket. But since its for domains and one and one don't do free hosting and VPS's so I think my conscience is clear.... anyway, its worth it.

You can register a domain for as low as $0.88 a yr! I know it sounds crazy but its true. Plus the website provides PROMO CODES every month on their site to give you an extra discount, and all the domains come with 1yr WHOIS PRIVATE GUARD :pardon:

for beginners it is a good option to get started with your first project and later you can otherwise buy a domain like .com or something like that.
Agreed. This is a good option for someone who just wants to experiment with a domain, but definitely not a domain one should invest SEO energy in. As soon as dot.tk detects X volume of traffic, it will take the domain back and put it up for sale.

I also use dot.tk domains, but for sites that have near to zero traffic.

some domain names on "offer" for not hosting (yes, its a promotion, it's not commercially viable to sell domains that low). I know this as factANYWAY - Use GigaRocket.nethosting servicesreseller accountsGigaRocket - I only post accurate information as far as I can ascertain - While I have no love for 1and1 - if you're a UK webmaster, FYI - you can actually buy a .co.uk for just a single year - these prices do not include VAT (20%) but as you may or may not know

That is owned by Freenom now; when you register a *.tk domain, you get redirected to Freenom (I saw that with 2 domains I got) and every *.tk domains you get is managed from inside Freenom's control panel. Not saying it's a bad thing, simply Dot.tk was acquired by Freenom and the old site is only a shell.

You can purchase a domain using NameSilo or Crazy Domains, they are the cheapest out there. Get a prepaid debit card if you don't have a credit card.

I was referring mainly to CrazyDomains, which is in no way cheaper than Namecheap.

[....] diversification of Registrars is probably a better idea.
And that's is why I've been using 5 different registrars for years.

If you lookup 1&1 on Google, they offer $1 .org domains for the 1st year and that really goes a long way. After the 1st year you can just get another domain or just pay the full price which is only like $5 I believe.

The full price is three times that amount (for a .com, the others tlds are even more expensive), but either way 1&1 is a sh*tty registrar who use very shady tactics....and should be avoided like bubonic plague.
Better go with Namecheap, Dynadot or Name.com.
