Windows 10 over ...Linux or ...Linux over Windows 10?

Planning a fresh Windows 10/Linux-dual-boot-installation on Notebook, both to be installed on hard disk in 2 different partitions, no flash- or SD-card-boot intended. There I'd appreciate your comments based on your experiences:
Which Linux distro (Ubuntu or Mint or...) and in which order, advisable for beginners?

If you don't need (or want) KDE, my recommendation is Mint with Cinnamon Desktop, because in this current and future releases
KDE is no longer supported.

Mint is easy to install - even on UEFI systems, ubuntu/debian based and the most common software is preinstalled.
But of course it is a matter of taste. I think you will get recommendations for Ubuntu/Gnome or Manjaro as well.

Please install at first Windows, then Linux. So Windows will be perfect integrated in the Linux GRUB2 Bootloader.
If available on your distribution of your choise install a LTS version and have fun with the best of both worlds for many years.

Great response, thank you! It's very suitable to my consideration, and exactly this way I'll prepare the installation this weekend, and dive in Linux world with Mint, and hopefully enjoy my dual system without trouble. Thanks again!

You should install Windows 10 first, then either Ubuntu or mint. If you like the way windows looks, I'd get Mint. But if you like the macOS feel then go for Ubuntu. I hope this helps!

I personally prefer Ubuntu & Lubuntu (Lightweight Ubuntu). But i have used Mint also. Mint also based on ubuntu distro.
