Windows updates - Malware?

One more reason why I do vote for other OS than Windows, I have just read an article about this issue they said that people would prefer to have been infected with a malware rather than been facing this force upgrade, yeah I do agree of upgrade to a second level have better benefit on security an features issues but if it will be a complete OS (no need for 3rd party soft) I can accept that, but upgrade the OS then struggle to make your usual apps work is the most frustrating thing I have ever seen in my entire info-sec life for that reason I changed my work environment to other brand than Microsoft that I have seen feting my software infrastructure needs beside 3rd party soft

Fearing forced Windows 10 upgrades, users are disabling critical updates instead

Mac OS is Free only for 5 year upgrade, after that you need to upgrade the hardware. I have no idea what is wrong with you people not liking the Windows 10, when it is clearly amazing and good piece of software.

Windows 10 is bad anyway you slice it. For those that don't think so, don't use their computer for anything other then surfing and playing games. I am not into playing games or just surfing the web. I use a lot of cracked programs. Windows 10 does not allow it. For an example, I have a piece of software for unlocking cell phones. It works great on Win 7. I installed it on a windows 10 machine. It installed with no issues, installed all the drivers etc. When I run the crack for it, it does not work. No errors, pop ups etc. It just does nothing. Yes, I could be a decent person and pay for the software. Its not the only program I run. The cost for the all the software I run would cost me 10's of thousands of dollars. Do I need to do that just because MS wants me to upgrade to a very insecure, malware infested O/S that has no real use other then for people to spy on you? No. Sorry, its not worth it. I would teach myself to use Linux and Mac and pay for their products before I would give a dime to MS. Also to further prove they are not playing fair, when they started with sending out windows 10, and I didn't update to it, they sent some code to disable my dvd drive. It will not work and will not accept the drivers for that. No, its not faulty as I tried another one and again, won't install. I had a lazer printer installed, those drivers don't work now and won't reinstall. 3rd and finally blow. I tried to install a new printer with a scanner. Guess what, the scanner works, but no drivers for the printer. So, say what you will about windows 10 being good. MS is evil and will take control of your computer at any time it wants. I am glad that I have 4 computers to work with and XP machine not connected to the net so they have no access to it.

As much as I quite like windows 10 I just hate how it is forcing people to update, not everyone will want to update. It should be one notification appears saying that your windows 10 update is available to download and install. The user could then just say no and download it another time or do it straight away. But it is all about the money and they want people to upgrade and use their new software.

I am not sure if everyone has heard about the bill that was passed in both U.S and Canada. I believe it was called bill C-52 here in Canada. Not sure about the U.S one. The purpose of the law was to give authorities the power to spy on you without a warrent. This included cell phones, how phone, internet, etc. They are collecting the data and storing it. They used the excuse to push the bill through about terriost. Its funny how this bill comes out, gets passed into law and then M$ comes out with windows 10 and is filled with spyware. Maybe its just a conspiracy theory, maybe not. I hear about VPN's and other Proxie type companies giving up the names of the people who are using them. Everyday we lose a little more freedom. Its pitting neighbor against neighbor. All for what? Money, religion? Land? What happened to trust? We bought things and installed it beacause we trusted the companies to protect us. Now what, they are selling out for a profit. Google is pushing their ads on all of our webpages, facebook etc. They are gearing ads to our searches. Now with windows 10, they can see whats on your computer and gear ads towards that. I am thankful for companies like Adblock, but even they are having a hard time stopping ads.

I'm quite certain android those this with their OS it asks you do want to update it and you can either install it straight away, or ignore it where the notification will be a banner when you check notifications, which is what I like to do, or say later and then go to settings and update. No constant requests for me to update.
