I am trying to protect some images/tumbnails from getting stolen (used by someone else) Example: http://www.ccsribwbrabant.nl
When I click the images (left mouse) it opens the images (makes bigger) and then people can safe them. How do I prevent them to open the images?

I know, got that one installed.
I want to prevent users to click on the left mouse button on the image and open the image file in their browser.

I can't understand why people don't want images to be opened in their browsers?

In my case the images will be of people (clients) with some psychisch problems. I don't want anyone to mess around with their pictures on the internet. Ofcource you can always make a screenshot, but I want to shut down any easy way there is for the clients privacy.

Buy Copyright for all of your pictures, then if someone copy them without your written premission, suide them in the court, you will win, because you own copyright and rights to use them, they wont have, so they are fed up, they will loose.

Then you shouldn't publish those pictures publicly. If I were any of those clients and you published my photo without my written and signed consent, I'd sue you. Even if those clients did provide me with consent, I'd still think a few times before I published their photos online.

That's my theory any way. Anything that is published in the public domain is freely available, whether you like it to be or not. If it is used in any way, proper acknowledgment should be given to the source. If not that person could be held accountable for plagiarism. But regardless, anything that is publicly available is up for grabs by the www. And if someone is concerned about the content of their Website to the extent they don't want people to open the photos in their browsers, then the photos should not be published in the first instance.

The ideal image size in WordPress is different as separate for the Thumbnail, Featured image, regular post embed image, etc. Timthumb is a very known script for resizing the images in WordPress sites. I always avoid using it. The new age themes are having their own mechanism for resizing the images and gallery.

when you upload the picture it automatically links to itself, before you add it to the page you need to change the link to "none"

you can disable the right button by javascript over pictures. And put images to the background. But in firefox use rightclick outside the pictures to show page information with a list of mediainformation + downloadbutton. Also in Firefox, you can browse cached files. As long as not everyone is using safari on ipad there are much more ways to download medias than using screenshots. Only pictures, you dont show are save, as long as you dont store them on the fileserver... I would prefer hardwareprotection like a black bar
