Hi guys! I am using wordpress on some domains in the hosting. But sometimes I found it really slow to respond. Any idea how can I optimize my wp sites to load it's contents from MySQL and Apache faster on Gigarank's Shared Hosting?

Thanks in advance.

Using a caching plugin like WP Super Cache, W3 Total Cache, or WordFence's built-in caching could help. The thing which helped me the most was changing my PHP version to PHP 7, and selecting "Compress all content" on the "Optimize Website" page in cPanel. I saw massive speed increases in WordPress after that. If you switch the PHP version it's a good idea to test your site afterwards to make sure nothing broke, but it went off without a hitch in my case.

@Yozora. Think Biobeo neglected to mention he is using an external server to host his Website. His database is on the Gigarank server with a hub in France and his Website on his own server probably located in Southeast Asia, a few timezones removed from France. Think that puts his request in a different perspective for a different approach than the traditional ones.

I'm still curious to know why he is using our server for his database and not his own server particularly with the specs he mentioned. Loading the database on his own server to me would speed up everything immediately.

I am using Gigarank's hosting to run those wordpress sites. And also I am using my own server for a different purpose. At the moment I am not merging my server's scripts to gigarank's database for the timezone mismatch issue. I am totally using Gigarank's hosting for those wordpress site's php files and database. So what's the solution in this case?

And Also I need to update the php.ini file of my gigarank hosting to upload some themes and plugins. It's not allowing me to upload more than 2MB through php. I am coding a chunk upload script for wordpress but that's still is in BETA. Please update the upload_max_filesize in php.ini to 64M

I've just taken the liberty of checking four of your WordPress sites. Each and every one of those load faster than mine do, and mine do load fast.

I'm almost certain that your problem is your ISP or WiFi. Not our server or a need to optimize your WordPress sites. As far as I can see you did a great job with your WordPress sites. They are very lean, sparing with plugins and using minimal resources.

As far as "limitations" are concerned, please study our cPanel options that are available for php versions and php features. You are able to do some modifications yourself to those manually.

@biobeo To change the value of upload_max_filesize in cPanel, click on "Select PHP version", then "Switch to PHP Options", and after that you should see a page where you can click on & change the value of upload_max_filesize.
