I got tired of Facebook and another social website I was on.... so I decided to make my own. :smile: If you stumbled across this site, would you join? (I have members who don't want their profiles, blogs, videos etc. to be seen by the general public, so you can't see much of anything except the index and links to what's inside once you join, sorry about that.)

Looks good! I'm not that into social media, but if I was, I would probably join. The question is how will it distinguish itself from the other privacy-focused social networks which have popped up in response to Facebook's many privacy issues?

That's a very good question. I don't collect any information, therefore, I can't use it for anything or share it with anyone. Members have full control over what others see about them (one of the reasons you can't see anything unless you join) and after you join you have full control over who can see your profile, videos, blogs etc. They also have control over how others interact with them. For instance, each module has it's own settings so you can options like... members see your profile but only friends can see your blog.

It will distinguish itself because we carefully screen our members to ensure our site remains free of fake profiles and scammers.There's also a strict zero tolerance policy towards any unsolicited or crude messages being sent to other members. So members don't need to worry about the normal behaviors that go along with other social sites.

I probably wouldn't to be honest, the main banner was really cheesy with the people thumbing up. It's not obvious what the site is about and will give.

Thank you for your input PeaceSigns. The banner is an easy fix. There's also a photo below it that says what members get when they join. It's all good feedback though. I'll make some changes to the index page.

Hello synergy ,
Honest the concept is good but try to make site more bootstrap friendly , easy to use on mobiel as well .
Anyway good luck with youre site :)

I have to agree with PeaceSigns - I probably wouldn't due to the graphics within the page. One cool feature I do like is the site stats being included on the page. This could be an attractor as well as a detractor in getting more members to sign up.

Quick question though, are these just blanket privacy policies or are they from you - Can be an issue if they are your privacy policies and the they go against Boonex's privacy policies - just saying

Overall simplistic fixes and I would probably join.

Nope. Poorly coded,uses too many templates. Cheesey looking, and its cut and paste code. Its also stucked in the 90's on design.Sorry if I sound mean,just stating the way I see it

I think the website looks very professional. In fact, I will join your site and spread the word about it on Facebook if that's okay. Maybe some of my friends would want to join as well, and maybe from there the site can continue to spread. :) Good luck with your site!
