Would you like to drive at 1000 mph?

Just came across this HUGE international science and technology project for designing a 1000 mph car - the Bloodhound, and just wondering who would be interested to drive a fast car like that, not to mention the kind of roads that would have to be constructed for cars like that? Gotta be pretty intense driving. :p

Here's more information about the Bloodhound

Must be pretty exciting though to be part of a project like that?

I bet Superman will be shocked when watching this.
:heartylaugh: You're right. He'd probably take command of it straight away. On the other hand Batman would probably put an order in immediately.

True. They're feel so bad and resign from the hero very soon. No more said "We Are The Best One !". LOL

I would not like to drive that car until it has been thoroughly tested. If something goes wrong at speeds like that it could very easily be fatal.

Not only the car, but the actual road it uses as well. That's also probably why it's taking so long to prepare for the test. To get an absolutely perfect road for Bloodhound.

But then I would have to really, really, really trust the driver.
And the road and the car. Anything out of place in that road and at that speed it's lethal. Same with car. Any deficiency would be magnified hundreds of times because of that huge speed.

But what a thrill it would be if everything did manage to fall into place!

Definitely, and I'm sure that's exactly what they are planning on. Into meticulous detail.

Yet another pet project being pursued just for the sake of it, there would be no real world application for such a venture, having said that it sure would be fun to have a go at driving it.
